It feels really odd to be berthed in our home island but still be living onboard. Even for our friends Jacs and Mike it’s the same, they have a night here before driving to their home in the next village to us, Callao Salvaje. Breakfast on our balcony sees the sun rise.

We take a leisurely wander around Tenerife’s capital city Santa Cruz, managing to visit Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Concepción, a church which has previously eluded us, finding two new installations in TEA (the wonderful modern art gallery) and revisiting one we have seen before.

Later we pay our first visit to the Museum of Fine Arts, another new (to us) church and finish with a lovely stroll up to and then along Las Ramblas as we admire the fine villas. Bonus points for finding a Henry Moor and past the contentious memorial of Franco, daubed in paint, and back to Azura.

After lunch we manage a few hours on 15 aft poolside before taking some wine down to our balcony.

Pre-dinner is back to 18 in Planets, then 15 and Beach House, a Mexican / Caribbean flavoured restaurant we haven’t been able to get in until tonight. We enjoy a fabulous dinner here tonight, our server Chris is just wonderful, and the food is also very good.

Once again we are too late for the turn, so take a stroll around the deck.
