Our first sea day promises to be relaxing and stress-free, but sometimes the expectation and the reality are not aligned.
Of course we have delightful pool-side breakfast at Patio Grill, today rather than putting up, with their underwhelming orange juice, I go to the Collonade and use the Zumex machine to get glasses of freshly squeezed, just like home! My omelette and vegetable tagine is great, as is hubby’s omelette.
It’s quite a slow news day, so this will be quick. We enjoy pool time whilst the duo guitar / singer perform, then have a custom pizza made, which was nice enough but a little two thick for our taste, we will get it rolled out more next time.
I concentrate on two very different IT problems and fix one but not the other.
Then it’s pool time again, chatting with a gaggle of Ozzie ladies. We have to go in early as we have a party invite for 18:00, the club even where notable sailing achievements are recognised. Tonight we’re up for our 200 nights on Seabourn mention. There is a show-dance and a toast.
As it was early we do a little walk around deck five but it’s too hot in a suit so we return to our room so I can continue to work a while before drinkies at patio bar just in time to catch a modestly nice sky.
Tonight is Chef’s dinner in MDR and we enjoy an excellent six course meal.
The evening show is a great singer called Andrew Bateup.
