It’s our last sea-day for four days. We’ve sailed 2000 miles from Los Angeles and overnight we will arrive on a surfboard, no Honolulu, as the old joke goes. Six days at sea has passed so quickly – what with meeting people both old and new, doing daily routines and yet indulging in numerous special events too.
After the usual 100 laps and breakfast we’re doing Spanish by 10:00, and in the pool soon after. There’s a Galley Market lunch which is always entertaining as the staff dress up the galley and we get to walk around the spectacle. In fact we don’t actually eat there, preferring our usual patio grill venue where the service is great and we’re outside in the sunshine.
Lunch has to be burgers today, so Hubby has a Napa and I take the the regular hamburger, it’s not clear what the difference is although the Napa used to be a different meat mixture in the good-old-days (IE pre-Covid!)
We spot a bird of prey, apparently a juvenile peregrine falcon, enjoying coasting alongside the ship, occasionally dipping and swooping. They are known to watch ships and prey on other migratory birds who take a rest onboard.
Usual lazy afternoon then dinner before a fabulous going to the show lounge, first a Charleston from the company dancers Natalie and Damien and then the second show from the magician.
