Today’s sea day is the opposite of two days ago as we are retracing our steps back to Thailand with new people onboard, plus a few like us who stayed.

You may recall it rained and we got wet? Today it’s twice as bad, the only difference is we started our walk in the dry and then got progressively wetter, to the point that we decided to stay on deck ten and just enjoy “Getting caught in the rain.” Please note I am not advocating the Piña Colada adulterers song, the lyrics are horrible, just pulling a line! The baggo has had an accident, will we see it fixed?

A complete change of clothes is needed by 11:00 when I go down to the cooking demo. Didn’t need to go as I’d seen it before but I promised Kay from our lounge that I would get her a recipe card, and as we have both CD and Chef new, interested how things might be different. I wasn’t expecting Chef to be so grumpy but it was refreshing, felt very sorry for Declan who is stepping up and doesn’t yet have enough patter to cope with irascibility – he will learn quickly!

After a lovely sushi lunch for me and sandwich for Mark, we sit and watch as the weather turns even worse, but have plenty to do. Later we intend to swim but just as we get there the pool is drained for cleaning, so make do with jacuzzi, until it’s time to shower and dress for formal night.

The ship’s company show is replaced with a talented saxophonist who is so much better than last week’s pianist. After we head to the Pinnacle, where we have a special order. Our pork chops are excellent, and  despite being more than we need we manage to enjoy every mouthful.
