Over night we ran into some very bumpy water, swells around 4m so not horrendous but enough to be aware. And enough for Patio Grill to be closed for breakfast, so for our first time in a very long time we go to MDR instead.
The decks have been cleared which made walking a good deal easier for Husband, I decide to rest my ankle again, although I’m not sure it makes any difference.
Whilst Hubby is walking I get a load of websites updated, generally play around the servers checking all is well, and give my blog a facelift.
We enjoy a lazy morning in the sun, although the wind is tough, and the deck is moving in strange directions occasionally.
We check for potential jacuzzi places, but every one is drained to prevent accident, most deck furniture is stacked and battened down.
Captain tell us we‘re following the coast as much as possible to avoid the worst part, but this evening we’re expecting another bumpy sea. It’s still 36 hours before we arrive in Amami!
For the second night we’re up in Observation Lounge for pre-dinner drinkies – they have some tapas here just in case – after all it is six floors down to MDR and a little bit of sustenance is probably required.
Dinner is good – confit salmon, carrot soup / tomato soup, duck a l’orange, pear tarte / white chocolate soufflé.
The performance is a tri of singers, named Timeless Tenors who sing Beetles, Orbison, Santana and more, finishing with a triple from Schönberg (including the wonderful Stars) in a very entertaining set.
