Pacific Islands 2023 – Day 14 – Thu 02/11
For me a very quiet day, in fact because I have an awful cough that’s been incubating for a few days, I hardly venture from my corner of deck nine. Pretty sure it’s nothing awful like Covid, as it’s completely isolated to a cough, but just keeping quiet and lying low seems like the best option.
It’s a funny day with very mixed rain showers coming over for five minutes then just as soon it’s baking hot and a humid as Hades!
Probably not helping my cough but a few cocktails make the day go by quite agreeably.
Everyone onboard has commented on how adorable our captain is, he’s by far the most personable one we’ve ever come across, and we remember from a previous cruise how approachable he is. On one occasion as he wandered past wirh the heavens opening, he and his staff captain (number two in command) went around the deck removing towels before they got too wet – as I said, adorable!!
Dinner alfresco is good but went undocumented, we swerve the show as my coughing reaches maximum anti-social levels.
