Middle sea day in this final batch. By all accounts a very quiet day, the deck seems virtually empty, at breakfast we see only six other couples.
Our day remains a quiet one throughout, until it’s time for an early change, so we can attend Captain’s farewell event and gala dinner.
We enjoy a gorgeous pasadoble from Natalie and Damien, a few words from Captain on what we’ve done and how far we will have sailed (8300 nm by the time we reach Auckland) and how many cases of champagne we’ve managed to drink (837!)
We enjoy the gala dinner with Di and Cliff, our regular neighbours on deck nine.
After dinner the company gives its penultimate production show, which we’ve not seen in this guise before. No band this time, it’s all to a recorded backtrack but a great performance nevertheless.
