Penultimate sea day. We’re not at the ”last things” stage yet, except for one, so after a slightly shambolic breakfast (all the right things, not necessarily in the right order) we commence laps on deck ten. The humidity is awesome, like walking into a sauna, within minutes we’re drenched.
Six miles later are we are ready for a thirst-quenching lime cordial and lemonade. Then we head home as I have some work to do. It takes a couple of hours and I’m still baffled but at least I am sure where I’m going and the problem should be identified soon enough – famous last words. Meanwhile my blog won’t post photos only words, which is annoying and infuriating but I can’t worry about that today. Gotta love a technology meltdown.
We get our final burger for lunch. These are served pool-side and are very good. The Wagyu beef in a Pinnacle burger is better but the fries pool-side are so much better!!
By the time we return yesterday’s laundry and dry-cleaning has returned so Mark has to sort that out. It’s been quite a challenge this cruise with the heat and humidity we have often had three outfits each day, thank goodness for unlimited laundry! Back to our balcony for more work, and Spanish, and then it’s time to jump in the pool for a while, and also jacuzzi with strawberry daiquiris.
After the usual evening prep were in the World Stage for Feeling Groovy which is set like it’s in a TV studio right out of “Hairspray.” The cast are wonderful despite there being a very obvious sound problem throughout the performance. Cameos of TV sponsored adds like “Pepsodent – you’ll wonder where the yellow went” and “Mr Clean will clean your whole house and everything that’s in it” are brilliant.
The blogs are a bit delayed because we have to conquer Manilla over the next two days, thirty miles of fabulous adventure just around the corner!
